Microsoft changes decision to cease support for Skype 7.
Some users may well be unaware that Microsoft (the owners of Skype) made a decision recently to cease all support of Skype version 7 and below, and all users would have to update to Version 8 (which works as part of the Browser).
This was met with dismay by many users who voiced their concerns about the lack of quality and functions in the new version. Microsoft has since reversed the decision to cease support for version 7 and below.
The date for stopping support was to have been September 1st. This has been postponed for the time being. So you can still continue to use Skype packages (as we do) for the foreseeable future.
